Heres a few pics before i snapped a rod

Jerseys_fyn3st

on 12/25/10 i was comin home from a club around 4a.m and i heard a knocking noise, it end up being a rod knock, so at 4a.m snapped a rod and had to leave the car on the side of the highway till about 7.am brought it back home, immediately took the head off and looked and sure was i was right. so me and some friends took the motor out. aswell as me selling the dr-20's and having like 3 steelies and 1 fat five, also while the car was down, brick went threw the windshield and passenger front door. had to replace both windows.

Jerseys_fyn3st

I went over to Honda Kings in miami florida and picked up a JapSpec swap with tranny, finally got  car is up and running , took the red pin strip off and swapped out the maroon interior and picked up some 91 si hatch complete interior front seats and rear seats, front bolted up well and i used the si rear bottoms they also bolted up well with all clips/hangers aswell. This is what the car seats as of right now.

Didnt do anything about the bits I need yet cause I dont have the money for them at the minute but might make the trip up for that bumper for you soon

Thanks a lot. I have a lot of parts just waiting to put them on, and will take pics of rears soon as i get home. And this is my daily driver so i try to do as much as i can on Sundays or my days off cause i work 6 days a week.
89 LX SOHC ZC

Puttin in some serious work lookin good man keep it up.
89civicracer

looking forward to seeing this in person one day.. Laughing
Jerseys_fyn3st

I did forget to put a MAIN PROBLEM i had with installing my rear fog lights, The rear bumper support there were 2 ways to do this, You can either cut the ends off or cut out a square so that the fogs lights dont hit the support. I just cut the ends off not that much but enough so they would fit.

Man i always seen your sedan in pics, yours went threw some changes very good changes, cant wait to see your sedan as well maybe sometime this year or beginning of next year. The ef sedan is the under dog. people ask why a sedan i say why not. in every state im pretty sure they have sedans but they are all the same xxr wheels and lowered to the ground. I mean yea thats cool but there are so many optional parts for this car and when their put together the ef sedan stands out at any CAR SHOW or MEET. Smile
Next on my list are LEGIT WHEELS.
Jerseys_fyn3st

Rear SI hatch bottoms as requested

If you look at the bottom that's the only Gap but not noticeable when the door is closed.
Jerseys_fyn3st

Today i finished work early and decided to do my trunk light mod ive been wanting to do since forever lol. A while back i went to the junk yard and took these off a Lincoln LS i think a 2003.

There like 5x brighter then the ef sedan stock trunk light

So i took my rear carpet out the 2 side right and left.i will be putting the light in there since when the carpet is on there is still room for extra trunk lights in there.

I cut out the square with a razor blade and fitted them in nicely

Jerseys_fyn3st

Left side

Right side

Also with all carpet on and all wired up. Smile

For this mod all you have to do is splice into the original sedan trunk light and put as many trunk lights as you want. Now my trunk glows evenly when it is open and turns off when i close the trunk.
C-Rex

Thats some nice work youve done and makes it better as a daily too..

Yea that hatch back box will be nice.. I got a Tanabe off a DA integra but it'll be way too low Sad

Thanks man , im just trying to clear up as much space as possible so all the parts are going on the car and im ordering a clifford or viper alarm very soon. Any pics of the tanabe??? i got the Apexi an for 35$ so i jumped on it asap . Any legit pan or exhaust i find for the ef or DA and the price is cheap i will buy it there so hard to come by nowadays
EF Sedan Enthusiast

Nice!  That rear cushion is intriguing.  Now just need to figure out how to make the back section work or match.

Also love the custom trunk lights.  You should be videoing all this stuff and making threads in the write-up section.
Jerseys_fyn3st

I know all the tabs fit in the rears I just need the top rears. I have the top si rears but they dnt fit no where close, as for the write ups will do I can do that for fellow ef sedaners lol
Jerseys_fyn3st

As for the trunk lights thanks man, I just hated the dim light in the trunk even a led couldnt brightin it  so I added more trunk lights and they look original too
EF Sedan Enthusiast

Yeah I ended up mounting a 20 something inch white neon tube in place of the trunk light on my last sedan but your idea is much better.  Plus you could even swap in led's or some xtreme white bulbs to make it even brighter  Very Happy
Jerseys_fyn3st

I bet your trunk was bright though lol. Yea with adding them specifically the 2003 lincoln ls trunk light they seem to snap I place at the carpet so it holds if it dosent hold a tad bit of glue would do the trick, also looks very oem I like it alot Smile
Cant wait to start my sunroof I want it do it myself I will most deff make a write up on installing 1 of those Smile
89ef2

Car is lookin good... I do really like the idea of the lights in the trunk im sure it makes a big difference
Jerseys_fyn3st

Thanks 89ef2 it really doea i can see in my trunk finally lol
C-Rex

I done a 500mile round trip today and was hopeing to pick up that bumper for you but didnt get a call back till I was half way home Rolling Eyes

I WILL get it though Laughing
89 LX SOHC ZC

I learned something new from this thread yesterday. I didnt know the light in the trunk would go off when you close the trunk I always thought you had to turn it on and off manualy.

Oh yea they turn off auto Smile. At 1st I was like man I hope they all shut off but I pulled my rear seat dwn and waalaaa they all shut off together and turn.on together. Just splice into the original trunk light and there you go.
Jerseys_fyn3st

Aswell as the light quality is just amazing now and there not even led's their stock bulbs Smile

Nice.
Civic1991

Looks nice, but ... I did not understand this thing:
Who lives in europe, likes USDM stuff
Who lives in USA or somwhere else where square number plates are, likes USDM stuff, consoles, bumpers, moldings, ant other fings  Laughing
Jerseys_fyn3st

Thanks guys, hopefully some more goodies this weekend Smile

@civic1991 what are you trying to say. Why do ppl in the usa like other countries part better??? If thats what your saying its cause in other countries outside the usa have way better OEM parts and are more common in other countries.
Jerseys_fyn3st

Jerseys_fyn3st

Also does any1 know how to remove the clips underneath the moldings on the doors I need to pick up new moldings all around but everytime I always break the clips it gets really annoying.
Jerseys_fyn3st

a little update i picked up a new steering wheel, and the last inner door step molding in black so its OFFICIAL lol heres a few pics of the wheel installed. looks good!!!!!

~Sp33~

Interior looks good.
89civicracer

Is that audio or cruise control on the steering wheel? can you get that to work? that would be freaking cool!  Laughing
Edison Carasio

@89civicracer - It's cruise control.  That wheel is from a Prelude, like 90-91 or so.  I have two of em.

Did you do the horn mod on the wheel to make it work?  If you take the horn ring off your old wheel and put it on the new one and plug it in to the plug in the wheel it will work.  Also, be prepared to hit your fingers and knuckles on the turn signal/wiper arms as this wheel will leave less clearance.  You can space it out a little with some washers, I just never got around to doing it in mine and just went back to a CRX wheel.

its cruise control, and yes you can get it to work. using all wiring from the ef sedan , the prelude and sedan have just about the same wiring when it comes to cruise control.

The horn does work i used the 3-4 wires from the prelude  wheel and just spliced into them adding the sedan plug on the end to keep it original. and yes it is close but im fine with that i dnt drive krazy so i tak my time already used to it lol. i really like the oem prelude wheel better then all of them.
Edison Carasio

Those Prelude wheels are probably one of my fav non-airbag wheels.  They also made the same wheel with a square H button in the middle I think that was like 88-89 Prelude or something.
Jerseys_fyn3st

Yea I love the look, kinda dnt want a quick release becauae I will loose the look of the oem im aimin for. this 1 came out of a 91 I believe and dnt plan on changing it at all lol. Hows your crx look? Is it usdm or jdm wheel?
Edison Carasio

Here is the CRX wheel that's in my car (this is a stock photo).  I don't have any pics.  Pretty standard, and they came in Civic Si's as well IIRC.

89 LX SOHC ZC

Nice.
89civicracer

What is the color of the center.... Army green?
Jerseys_fyn3st

Havent figuerd it out yet lol, in the pic I guess the way the light was hitting it looksa little greenish, but in person it more like a grey. Does any 1 know what tire size would look good with these?
89civicracer

Not sure about what tire size would be idea...

If i am not mistaken, the stock steely wheel comes 13" and 195/70's.
I have the 15" MR5's and i am running 195/50's (i think, my car is not with me at the moment to verify)....so....since you have a 14" rim, i would think if you went with a 195/60.... Just sayin'......

Someone more familiar please chime in....

The CF48 rim comes 14", maybe research what tire goes on that wheel....?
Jerseys_fyn3st

Yea I found some 60' s for 62$ falken hopefully they will look good also lookin into some 55'$
Jerseys_fyn3st

i had to google this last week. Theres a 10mm nut on the inside of the door under the weather stripping stuff. After thats off pop the molding from the bottom and then the top and it just slides out. No broken clips at all. When your at the junk yard practice on like a crx.
Jerseys_fyn3st

@ jon I know, a bit nervous but who wouldnt be choppin up there roof. Lol
@ guru I know about the bolt it just the clips that seem to piss me off and alwyas break. So I just leave the moldings . Umma try what u said tomorrow . Every saturday is national junkyard day hahahaha. I will keep you's updated
Jerseys_fyn3st

Well i started to polish my mr5 barrels shit takes toooo long but all worth it, Also finished the faces white they look amazing on to the pics.
