Yeah, Here in sunny South Africa they call these sedans "Ballade" and not civic, i think if i'm correct this model is the 1991 150 16v civic Dx or Ex not exactly sure. Thinks it's and SH4, i thinks icarus know a bit more about hte models!

Here in OSuth Africa we only got the Sedan in the 150 16v single carb and 160i fuel injection, we did not even get the Hatchback models in the 4th generation models only from the 5th generation and up we got the hatchbacks and they where called the Civic but the sedans where still called ballade.

Well thanks for the comments on the car, still alot to do, want to respray this year, redo bumper, lowering kit, colour code bumpers and mirrors and add a headlight washer kit and bumper aerial!
Icarus

what exhaust did you fit?

you have your generations wrong

83 - 87 3gen 150 12v, 150i 12v, 160i DOHC (Ballade only)
88 - 91 4gen 150,160i, 160i DOHC (Ballade only, civic import only)
92 - 95 5gen 150,160i, 160E DOHC, 180E DOHC (Ballade only, civic import only)
96 - 00 6gen 150i,160i, 160i DOHC VTEC (civic hatch, ballade sedan)
01 - 04 7gen - All civic
05 - 07 8gen - All civic

dont fit the koenic SH4 DOHC kit, its crap, you will mess up ball joints and CV's, you car will be so low it will damage the exhaust and branch. It will also stress the struts and damage your chassis.

the springs are so low that you will be driving on the bump stops wich will give you a bad ride.

Thanks, not familiar with the models, so mine would be a 88 - 91 4gen 150 Ballade, i think you said last time it was a SH4?

Thanks for the up on the Koenic springs, my car already scrapes the bumps at it's original height, seems like they making bumps higher and higher these days.

Which lowering kit would you recommend and do  you know what part no for a full suspension bush kit, wana redo my whole suspension at once!

I fitted an EK,EG Eibach pro kit with Monroe original gas shocks as getting springs for our cars in SA is pricey.

I only get a 20mm drop. function over form, my car sticks in corners...

Rixoreilly

What's what for? NOt sure i understand the question! Sad
Mattes

I just wanna know, who's the producer of the front lip on that Ballade Wink
Rixoreilly

The Front lip that was on in the photo's is from a 95 oor 97 Honda civic available here in South Africa - "http://www.autostyle.co.za/product/2122/CivicBallade2pcFrontSpoiler/"

The one i am putting on once the car is finished at the panel beaters is for Mk3 Golf available from the same company here in South africa - "http://www.autostyle.co.za/product/4268/GolfMK3BonrathFrontSpoiler/"

Which lips do you want to sell to South Africa? Do you have a pic?

Rixoreilly

What cost do you get them for in Germany?

The shipping would probably cost a lot to South Africa unless you ship in bulk!
Mattes
