•.::Another VC::.•Well my last VC didn't get all the bells and whistles.This time around im just going all out w/how I wanted my original VC.
OEM:
I started by shaving the unsighlty lettering and [H] logo:
Then shaved the small squares up front that pop upward and that have 10mm holes inside them.There are 3 of these in the front:
Welded up those ugly sparkplug wire bracket mounting holes:
Then cut off the arm that sticks out behind the distributor.It too is a sparkplug wire bracket mounting location:
SMOOTHED everything on out:
This was all that was accomplished as of today.I'll update as I progress into this VC.

Well today we get to finish this sucker up and get it ready for sandblasting.I changed up alittle bit though we plan to just shave these off completely:
Along w/the [nipple] that sticks out for the vacuum hose to the air intake system from the distributor side of the vc.We are relocating it to the backside of the vc.
And after lastnight the color was finalized it will be a RootBeer Kandy w/gold basecoat.

Yea thanks,Today we should be done and send it to sandblasting.Should be painted by the end of the weekend as well!
I chose to cut the nipple where the vacuum hose goes to from the air intake and relocate it on the backside just to give it more of a clean look.I'll have progression pics later tonight.

Update:
Well today I thought I'd shave these mounting locations instead of keeping them so we hit them up:

Next I'll fill in the rest smooth everything out and sandblast it.Then it is off to paint.
For now the nipple stays,I had plans of running an aftermarket oilcatch can but changed my mind for now.I'll always do another..

This vc has been so cool to do but unfortunately have to sell due to other things.It is in the process of being painted w/a gold base coat and then sprayed over w/house of color rootbeer kandy.If anyone is interested in this p/m me i'll have pics soon as the cover is painted.This weekend I think it will be ready.

This guy does some serious work.
As soon as I install mine, I'll snap some pics of it.
Again if mine came out sick, i could just imagine how this one is going to come out.

Paint delay update.The painter said he went to scuff it in a spot and left deep scratches.So he has to fix his mess up first then getting paint.
