If ur going take it apart I would replace the throw out bearring clutch resurface the flywheel, axle seal, main rear oil seal, I don't think u need to put gasket seal or honda bond when u rebolt the tranny I thought it need it before

i would gather up all the parts you need before taking it apart i had to goto 3 different honda dealer part store for that spring /release barring they dont just sell the spring alone my spring snapped. besides that its hard to come by, to get some parts like that seal on the tranny where the axle connects to  i went with EX/Si trans no one had that seal in stock dx lx wont work. i took out the trans more then 8times cause of leaks wont goto gear or reverse was broken, stripped threads and bolts, more drama to it, good thing i had 3 extra tranny, 2 LX trans had problems, EX was good i had add high temp silicone gasket to the casing which you dont need to do i was just tried of taking out the trans and waiting for leaks. you'll get faster at it under 20 mins, 2 floor jacks some wood, cement block, rubber mallet hammer. air compressor axle fork, funnel with long tubing, fluorescent light blubs ( you can drop as much as you want wont break easily)  good luck.
