im not sure, im planning on getting new springs w/ the struts, but i really need struts. a combo would be great but only have about $400 limit. i just want something that last pretty long and has a smooth ride. im sitting on intrax springs right now and im scared that the struts i get are gonna be shot in months. so im pretty open to some ideas before i purchase.

didnt know there was a difference, thought the word meant the same thing, but thanks for telling me. and ive heard skunk2s are pretty good too, is there any others out there? is there a site where i can look at koni shocks? the ones that ive been going to dont seem like the "correct" site. but im trying to find a decent price for a durable shock between KYBs, tokicos, konis and skunk2s. just reading up right now.

They are the same, in the fact that they both are dampers. But that is where the similarities end. The main difference is that Struts attach to chassis components like your steering knuckles / hubs and other components that effect alignment adjustments....where as Shocks are independent of those components.

ahh i see, ive always thought that they were just named 2 different words but are the exact same thing. Never knew that stuts were attached to the chassis.

i have a question. are coilover sleeves bouncier than lowering springs? im considering sleeves because of the fact you can raise and drop the car. and would it be the same or different ride w/ shocks on sleeves or w/ shocks on springs?

I think it's all very dependent on the brand.
