So i bought some sony 6x9 speakers for my 91 dx sedan, will they fit in the back deck? or will i have to do some kind of special fitting. thanks

Special fitting, you will need to bend the circles a little and it will sit "kinda flush" lol. They will still work but they wont sound as good if they are not supported.

fully agree, u will have to cut the deck they sit on to get those in, alot of the 6.5" speakers have beauty rings that wont sit right. I use Memphis MC 6.5" and had to make a custom aluminum ring to mount them as well as cut the rear deck up
