I'm partial to the idea. I say wait until HT sorts out it's abortion of a website then we can make our decision. As far as i can tell they actually havent bothered loading across all the data yet.
When all the data has been transferred and it's a proper functioning website, then i'll have my say.

HT has been a shithole for several years... that's the main reason most of the long time Roadrace/AutoX forum members bailed and started a new site a little over 2 years ago. Too many problems with the "management" editing and deleting posts as well as limiting accurate feedback on sponsor's products. :shrug:
Even more recently, they've apparently deleted my build thread over there...

Why are forms always splitting and starting new ones? I mean i have a gun form that has already split and everyone is blamming
others, i just want to get info, and talk and meet new people.
This i the main reason i joined this sight to learn the most about
my honda,and meet new people and mabey make a few friends along the way, because we got something in common(We love Honda sedans) right now i cant vote i just want to learn all i can |

HT's most recent changes have all been spawned from their sale to Internet Brands. "AutoX" is short for Autocross... essentially the same thing as "Gymkhana" in other parts of the world.
HT's Roadrace/Autocross forum used to have a much deeper pool of talent and knowledge. They chased off most of the "brain trust"... what's left is almost exclusively the West Coast NASA guys who haven't been around as long as the SCCA/IMSA guys.
The good news about all the HT drama is that the new site is 100% advertising free and is populated solely by active racers and autocrossers. Much better signal:noise ratio than HT ever managed to achieve.

The only bad thing about the forum is that there isn't a high tolerance level for jackassery and "how do I slam my ride" type bullshit. Questions about car setup? Abso-friggin-lutely. JDM Tail-light questions? Not so much...

It occurs to me that the biggest difference with roadraceautox.com is that it's not a Car "enthusiast" forum. It's a Racing enthusiast forum.
